Both teams are off high scoring win US with a 3-2 win over  Senegal and Germany with a 4-0 Win over Finland. Today we should see goals here at Soldier field as The German team is aggressive and generates a plethora of scoring chances and is likely to put a few past the U.S Here who has a tendency to struggle with their transition defense. The U.S has allowed at least one in 7 straight games. The German team has scored at least once int he first half in 7 of the last 8 matches. The Elks swept the season series from Ottawa last season despite a 7-11 campaign that saw them miss the playoffs yet again. This year they have Revamped the offensive line to give Fajardo more time to throw. They are a solid road dog covering 7 of 8 as a dog of 5 or less. Ottawa has failed to cover 9 of 10 as a home favorite of 2 or more and brought in Jake Maier this year at QB who was a back up last year with the Roughriders. Both teams looked good in road pre season wins, but We like the Elks defense a bit more as they added several veterans addressing some f their weak spots from last year. The NHL Game 3 play is on Carolina. Game 15 at  8 eastern. The Canes down 2-0 with less than 10 minutes to go, rallied to tie the score, then seemingly lost the lead but were saved by a Goaltender interference call nullifying the Vegas goal. Soon after they scored the go ahead goal only to have Vega tie it up late and send the game to over time. All of the above is significant because we have only seen two teams at home off a road loss and prior road win if they blew a 2+ goal lead in the last game and BOTH lost. The other perfect system shows road teams at a perfect 4-0 on Game 3 of the finals off a home favored win and prior home favored loss if the total is more than 5. Carolina has snapped the Vegas 7 game win streak and seized momentum in a major way. Rob notes that round 3 or later Home teams off a road loss that snapped a 7+ game win streak are WINLESS Since 2004. Finally we see note that home teams that were down 2+ goals 12:45 seconds into the 3rd period had a record of 11-434 straight up.
